Rafael Grossi will arrive in Iran on Saturday.
According to Fars News Agency, Rafael Grossi, the director of the International Atomic Energy Agency, will travel to Iran for high-level meetings.
This trip will take place during discussions with Iran regarding the origin of uranium particles that have been enriched up to 837%, which is very close to the purity required for the production of atomic bombs.
The discovery of these particles at the Fordow facility has been raised in an agency report.
The UN atomic agency said on Tuesday that it is engaged in negotiations with Iranian officials regarding this matter.
Iranian officials had previously attributed the discovery of 84% enriched uranium traces to the deposition of radioactive materials in centrifuges and an inspector’s mistake.
