Germany’s reaction to the expulsion of its diplomats from Iran
The German Foreign Ministry has expressed its reaction in statements regarding the expulsion of its diplomats from Tehran.
In this statement, the expulsion of German diplomats has been described as expected but unjustified, considering the expulsion of Iranian diplomats from Germany.
The statement also mentioned that these diplomats have not committed any wrongdoing.
Today, the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs reciprocated by declaring two German diplomats as undesirable elements and expelling them from the country.
Last week, Germany announced the expulsion of two Iranian embassy employees in the country, which is related to the issuance of the death sentence for Jamshid Sharmehd, an Iranian-German citizen.
