Commander-in-Chief of the Iranian Army: No sane person can accept negotiations under pressure and sanctions

As the maximum pressure continues and Donald Trump, the President of the United States, proposes negotiations with the Islamic Republic, Abdolrahim Mousavi, the Commander-in-Chief of the Iranian Army, said on Sunday that no sane person can accept negotiations under pressure and sanctions.

He had previously rejected negotiations and emphasized that we do not welcome war and chaos and do not like it, but if a war starts and something happens, we will defend Iran with strength.

These statements were made while the leader of the Islamic Republic announced on Saturday that the country will not enter negotiations under pressure. He made these remarks a day after the U.S. President announced sending a letter to Tehran to negotiate on the nuclear agreement.

While expressing a desire for an agreement, Trump has reinstated the maximum pressure campaign against Tehran that was implemented during his first term. The goal of this policy is to economically isolate Iran and reduce its oil exports to zero.
