Germany summoned the Iranian ambassador
The German Foreign Ministry on Wednesday summoned the Iranian ambassador, reiterating its accusation regarding the involvement of Iranian entities in the attack on a synagogue in the city of Bochum in 2022.
The German Foreign Ministry announced on its social media account on X, formerly Twitter, that it had summoned the Iranian ambassador after receiving a written notice regarding the verdict of the accused in the attack on the synagogue in the city of Bochum in 2022.
The German Foreign Ministry added that we have now shared this verdict with our other partners and European entities, and we will conduct the necessary reviews regarding the next steps.
An Iranian-German individual was sentenced to 2 years and 9 months in prison last December for the attack on the synagogue in the city of Bochum in 2022.
Germany had previously summoned the Iranian chargé d’affaires in December in connection with this incident.
