Deputy Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran: We are ready to negotiate with the United States

Majid Takht Ravanchi, Deputy Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic, announced on Thursday that despite the distrust towards Washington following attacks on Iran’s nuclear facilities, Tehran still believes in diplomacy.

Takht Ravanchi told NBC that the Islamic Republic no longer intends to retaliate against the US attacks on its nuclear program and is ready to negotiate with the United States.

The Deputy Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic also emphasized that Tehran’s position, as reiterated before, is that Iran has no plan to halt uranium enrichment.

In response to the question of whether further action from Iran is on the way, Takht Ravanchi said that as long as the United States does not attack us, we will not respond further.
