Reza Taghavi, the President’s advisor on religious affairs, says the silence of the elites is no less damaging than the rioters.
Reza Taghavi, the President’s advisor on religious affairs, stated yesterday at a gathering of affiliates from provincial religious seminaries, held under the title ‘Pledge of Allegiance to the Leadership,’ that the silence of the elites is no less damaging than the rioters.
Regarding the elites, he said that artists, event reporters, poets, scholars, university professors, celebrities, sports and arts champions, ministers, lawyers, and heads are among the elites, meaning they are the forces who have sat at the table of this system and have grown.
Since the start of the anti-government protests, which have been ongoing for more than three months, government institutions and officials have repeatedly criticized the silence of those close to the government.
Raisi’s advisor on religious affairs said that encouraging norm-breaking, civil opposition, character assassination of community leaders and managers, and discrediting the system are actions that, according to him, are carried out by the enemies of the Islamic Republic.
