Tajzadeh warns reformists about the upcoming elections

Mustafa Tajzadeh, a political activist currently imprisoned, has warned reformists about the possibility of their participation in the upcoming elections and described the current election conditions as uncertain.

In a meeting with his wife, Fakhrosadat Mohtashamipour, this political figure stated that the current policies of the Islamic Republic are contrary to the wishes of the majority of the people, and he cautioned reformists not to fall for recent empty promises regarding the elections.

Mr. Tajzadeh added that as long as the foundation of the government is based on the stubbornness of the ruling elite and not on the opinions and will of the majority of the nation, it does not demonstrate an important sign of reconciliation with the people and empowerment of their vote. In my opinion, the elections are uncertain, and with the current policies and trends, no one can take a significant step towards solving problems and improving the people’s living conditions.

The elections for the Islamic Consultative Assembly and the Assembly of Experts will be held on February 28th this year, but reports indicate early movements by some figures and political groups to participate in it.
