18 Female Prisoners Call on People to Protest Against Execution Sentences

A group of female political prisoners held in Evin Prison have condemned the execution of protesters in Iran through a published letter and have called on the people of Iran to take to the streets and chant slogans about abolishing execution sentences to prevent the killing of protesters whose lives are in danger.

These women have reported their sit-in in front of the Evin Women’s Ward guard office in solidarity with the protesters and have also urged the public to take similar actions to prevent the execution sentences for other detained protesters and to stop further suppression.

The signatories of this letter have also written that we should rise to cut the noose around our youths’ necks and to break the erected gallows of death.

There is no other way; this time, let’s seize the city streets with the shout to stop executions and continue the strikes with greater strength and breadth.
