No bank has the right to take a house deed for granting a rental loan.

The Director General of Roads and Urban Development of Tehran Province told the media that no bank has the right to ask applicants for a house deed for granting housing deposit loans. If any bank is found taking a house deed from applicants for housing deposit loans, they will be dealt with immediately according to the law.

Mohabbatkhah added that according to the Cabinet’s resolution, banks should not require guarantors or collateral for granting such loans.

It is worth mentioning that yesterday it was reported on social media that banks are asking applicants for a house deed to grant housing deposit loans, which caused dissatisfaction among the applicants.
