Additionally, the total trading volume in the past 24 hours decreased by 11.86 percent, reaching 37.17 billion dollars.
On the other hand, 426 million dollars in short positions in Bitcoin futures were liquidated over the past 24 hours.
Bitcoin is trading at a slightly increased price of 16,988 dollars, and Ethereum has risen by over 1 percent to a price of 1,285 dollars.
Other well-known cryptocurrencies like Dogecoin, Shiba Inu, Ripple, and Cardano also saw price increases.
