Amirkabir University canceled Ensieh Khazali’s speech.

Zeinab Mahdavi, the head of the Women’s Department of the Islamic Student Association at Amirkabir University, announced that the university informed the Vice President for Women and Family Affairs, Ebrahim Raisi, that it could not guarantee her safety on campus.

Ensieh Khazali, the Vice President for Women and Family Affairs of the Iranian President, was supposed to visit Amirkabir University on the eve of Student Day, where students have organized anti-government protests and strikes multiple times in recent weeks.

Ensieh Khazali has repeatedly faced criticism from protesters and women’s rights activists.
