The Decline of Digital Life Quality in Iran
The Etemad newspaper wrote: Currently, the main damages in the communication and information network include three areas: disruption in internet access, widespread filtering, and low internet connection speed.
Widespread filtering has made the use of VPNs inevitable, an event that, in addition to imposing high costs, has increased the vulnerability of users’ digital communication devices and raised the risk of information security and cyber attacks on businesses.
According to the internet quality report published by the Tehran Electronic Commerce Association, Iran ranks 47th out of 50 countries in terms of internet disruption. Iran ranks 49th in the internet restriction index and is in the last place in the internet speed index.
