Cancellation of Tehran Province Football Matches Due to Air Pollution

All football matches over the weekend in Tehran have been canceled due to severe air pollution in all age categories until Friday, December 23rd. Additionally, team training sessions have also been canceled.

According to Borna News Agency, following the continuation of air pollution in Tehran Province and the closure of schools and offices, the medical committee of the Tehran Province Football Association and other relevant committees have issued the cancellation of intra-provincial matches in all youth and adult categories. The order for the cancellation of the games was issued after an urgent meeting with Seyed Mirshad Majedi, the head of the Tehran Province Football Association.

The report adds that, up to this moment, the match between Esteghlal and Mes Kerman scheduled for tomorrow, Wednesday, December 21st, has not been canceled by the league organization responsible for organizing this match.

It is said that the football association has likely delegated the responsibility of canceling or holding the Esteghlal and Mes Kerman match in the Hazfi Cup to the league organization.
