Tulip Festival in Various Parts of Iran

With the onset of spring, a colorful festival of tulips has been held in some parks and gardens of various cities in Iran.

In the Iranian Garden of Deh Vanak in Tehran, which is part of the Qajar-era Mostofi al-Mamalek garden, the tulip festival has been held as per the annual tradition in spring.

In Mellat Park and some flower gardens in Mashhad, Arak, Karaj, and some other cities, the tulip flower festival is also taking place.

Among Middle Eastern countries, the tulip has a deep influence in the cultures of both Iran and Turkey.

The oldest archaeological artifacts featuring the image of a tulip are bronze and stone seals that have been discovered in Afghanistan, dating back to more than 20 centuries before Christ.

Additionally, there is a cylindrical seal from 2019 centuries before Christ from the Elamite civilization in Iran that features the image of a tulip.
