Europeans no longer tweet, the European Union threatened Elon Musk
The first news following the virtual and official meeting between Thierry Breton, the senior European Union commissioner and one of the most important decision-makers on cyber and digital affairs, and Elon Musk was his official threat concerning the problems arising on the social network owned by Elon Musk.
He officially warned that, due to Elon Musk’s cancellation of content control programs on Twitter and the creation of a dangerous environment posing a serious threat to social and civic security, Twitter is becoming a structure that contradicts the laws of the European Union.
Breton informed Musk that if he does not amend his approach and continues the current trend, heavy fines and even a ban on operations against Twitter will be issued.
The initial news should be examined alongside what occurred in the meeting between the two parties and, in fact, in Musk’s interaction with the European Union. There is a serious interest in the Union to cooperate with Musk, and given the amicable atmosphere of the meeting and Musk’s importance as the owner of various industries, it is unlikely that they would easily remove him from the European business scene.
