Expressions of Support by the Presidents of the United States and France for the People of Iran
The visit of the French President to the United States and his important and crucial talks with Joe Biden, which took place in a very friendly and unifying atmosphere, were accompanied by the issuance of an official statement from both countries and the announcement of a White House statement.
In a part of the issued statement regarding the specific issue of Iran, the presidents of the two countries paid tribute to the people of Iran, particularly women and youth, and praised the efforts of the Iranian people to achieve their civil rights, which the Iranian regime claims to uphold but in reality violates.
Biden and Macron emphasized efforts to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons and to strengthen the grounds for international cooperation to compel Iran to fully cooperate with the International Atomic Energy Agency.
Another part of the statement also emphasized that the two countries and their allies will engage in a new round of efforts with new plans to combat Iran’s destabilization of the Middle East and the Persian Gulf and the development of its missile and drone programs.
