Iranian Judo Athletes Expelled from Hangzhou Para-Asian Games

Expulsion of two Iranian judokas from the Hangzhou Asian Para Games

One turned out to be sighted and the other tested positive for doping

The Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) reported that two judokas from Iran’s national judo team, who were sent to the Hangzhou Asian Para Games, were not allowed to participate in the competitions

IRNA explained that Vahid Jedi, who was recently part of the national judo team and suddenly appeared in the visually impaired team, was not assigned a class in the Hangzhou Asian Para Games and could not compete

The agency also wrote that Omid Jafari, another judoka from our country, was not allowed to participate in the competitions for unspecified reasons
