Judge Salavati: The punishment for brandishing a weapon with the intent to harm people’s lives, property, and honor is execution.
This morning, Saturday, September 10th, the court session for the case of robbery on the Niayesh Highway was held in Branch 15 of the Revolutionary Court, presided over by Judge Abolghasem Salavati.
At the end of this court session, Judge Salavati warned those who commit violent crimes and thefts accompanied by harassment, disrupting the psychological security of society, that according to Article 279 of the Islamic Penal Code, the punishment for brandishing a weapon with the intent to harm people’s lives, property, and honor or to intimidate them in a way that causes insecurity in the environment is considered ‘moharebeh’ (waging war against God), and the sentence for moharebeh is execution.
At the end, Judge Salavati announced the conclusion of the court session and stated that the verdict for the case will be issued and announced within the next week.
