Houshang Pourbabai regarding the latest status of Mostafa Tajzadeh’s case and whether he will be granted leave for the holidays or not, said Mr. Tajzadeh is inside the prison and believes that leave is my right and it is the government’s duty to grant it to the prisoner.
He added that according to the prison organization’s regulations, it is the government’s duty to present the matter to the classification council of the prison organization and calculate the privileges that a prisoner is entitled to and not deprive him of those privileges.
Tajzadeh’s lawyer reminded that Mr. Tajzadeh says it is the government’s duty to enforce the law in this regard and I am not submitting a request for leave. Mr. Tajzadeh has not used a single day of entitled leave, except for medical leave, since his arrest in July 2022.
