Spokesperson of IranAir: No sanctions have been imposed on IranAir
The spokesperson for IranAir on Thursday, September 22, referred to the announcement of the cancellation of IranAir’s flight to the city of Cologne on the Imam Khomeini Airport board, stating that no sanctions have been imposed on IranAir and all flights are operating.
According to Iranian domestic media, Hesam Ghorbanali claimed that the dissemination of news linking the cancellation of this flight to sanctions imposed on IranAir is an action by several hostile sites.
According to Ghorbanali, no official report regarding sanctions on IranAir has been received from France, the United Kingdom, and Germany, and all flights will proceed as scheduled.
This comes as U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken, during his visit to the United Kingdom on Tuesday, September 20, announced new and extensive sanctions against Iran, including against IranAir, due to the delivery of Iranian ballistic missiles to Russia.
Simultaneously, Germany, France, and the United Kingdom also announced in a statement that they intend to include IranAir in their sanctions list.
