Hours after the leader of the Islamic Republic described negotiations with the US as a complete deadlock and harmful, Iran’s financial markets faced a new shock and the value of the rial quickly decreased.

According to data from Wednesday noon, October 2, the dollar rate in the Ferdowsi market in Tehran jumped by four thousand tomans compared to the previous day, reaching at least 108,000 tomans.

The price of the euro also reached 127,000 tomans, the British pound 145,200 tomans, the UAE dirham 29,300 tomans, the Turkish lira 2,650 tomans, the Chinese yuan 15,130 tomans, and the Canadian dollar was traded at a record 77,850 tomans.
